...or something. the important part is the fact that i have a story. :]

once upon a time, a group of 35ish choir girls decided to have a christmas party. the party went swimmingly. they baked cakes and drank caffiene and broke dishes and all was merry until suddenly, out of the blue...

the flood began. at first, it wasn't much. we went outside to see the 'end of the world',and were disappinted to see the water really was not much more than would be expected after a heavy rain storm. the funny part was that it hadn't rained, but no one really though of that until later. anyway, about an hour after initially realizing the street was flooding, nicki jo's mom came down and broke the news. the water had risen nearly enough to cover the entire street. it was even flowing into peoples yards. not only did we have to stop the gift exchange, but the police pretty much said we had like 10 minutes to EVACUATE the premises. that's when the chaos really started. amidst the screaming girls jessica, bridgette, darian and i grabbed what we could, ran out the door and had to wade 20 feet through the calf-deep bio-hazardous slush to jessica's car. but when we got to the car, we were boxed in by the screaming policemen, their blockade and panicking choir girls. all we could do was sit and wait and watch the water slowly rise. finally, after the water was nearly above the bottom of jessica's car door (darian was simultaneously having near-panick attacks and reporting on the water level) we were able to leave. jessica stepped on it and we went hydroplaning through the swampy nieghborhood. the party was soon relocated and all went on as normal. there were a few causalties... dairan's sock, 20 pounds of cake... but those were small prices to pay for the survival of 35ish choir girls, p, and a very disturbed sampson the goldfish (bridgette's christmas present).

i say it was tactus's fault. they had said something about crashing our party... who knows if they could pull off something so entierly epic?
